GBDR invited to AI talk
Thank you to the Harvard Kennedy School China Alumni Association and the Harvard Beijing Alumni Association for the invitation to discuss the future applications and reflections on AI with Steve Hoffman (Captain Hoff), founder of Founders Space. As a global startup incubation organisation. Founders Space has 50 strategic partners in 22 countries and operates worldwide, helping entrepreneurs, governments, and enterprises leverage artificial intelligence to innovate and accelerate development.
Hoffman has mentored and nurtured hundreds of startups. He also provides consulting services on AI innovation, leadership and strategy, as well as AI transformation and agent systems for global enterprises, including Qualcomm, Huawei, Alibaba, Bosch, Intel, Disney, Warner Bros., Volkswagen, etc.
Steve Hoffman is also a venture capitalist and AI expert, and has authored three award-winning books: Make Elephants Fly, Survive the Winter, and The Prime Mover.

Today GBDR team visited the Hereford and Angus cattle farms of North America's prestigious Latimer and Brown families, warmly received by both clans. Inspected century-old farms' modern operations and exchanged views on agri-tech innovation, sustainable development, and family heritage. Both sides hailed Sino-Canadian agricultural complementarity, eyeing this visit as a bridge for deeper industrial cooperation and cultural exchange.
GBDR visits Hereford in Canada
It is an honour GBDR to be invited to visit the beautiful city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada – a renowned agricultural hub in North America.
This trip will involve meetings with top North American agricultural institutions, leading enterprises, and relevant government departments, with deep expectations to promote in-depth agricultural cooperation between China and Canada.
As the first stop, we visited the Canadian Hereford Association. Founded in 1890, the Association serves as the national authoritative body for Hereford cattle breeding and promotion in Canada.
We would like to extend special thanks to Mr. Michael Latimer, Executive Director, for his detailed briefing. The two sides had in-depth discussions on cooperation plans with China and the Pan-Asian region, aiming to establish long-term cooperation mechanisms in areas such as breed improvement, technical exchanges, and beyond.
